About Guy Hiscock

Guy Hiscock is a Certified Practitioner with the American Organization for Bodywork Therapies of Asia (AOBTA) and the International BodyTalk Association (IBA). He started his apprenticeship to become a shiatsu practitioner in London, England in 1987. In 2000, Guy studied both basic and advanced BodyTalk modules. He has studied with Masters from Japan, China, Europe, and the U.S. His extensive post graduate studies include applied kinesiology, macrobiotics, Western and Eastern astrology, psychotherapeutic dynamics, philosophy and comparative religious studies.

Guy now lives in San Antonio and sees clients there on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. He also sees clients in Houston every week on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays.  Please call for an appointment at 713.818.1958 or email for more information.

Asian Bodywork Therapists (ABTs) who are members of the AOBTA are not required to be licensed as massage therapists to practice Asian bodywork therapy in Texas, as long as they are not providing massage therapy.

At this time the TXDSHS has no plans to issue separate licenses for ABTs under the permissive language of House Bill 2644.
